The perfect recipe for successful events

Revolution Events is a long-standing client and I have successfully helped them ‘brand’ numerous events they have created and run for their clients over the years. So it was little surprise that they asked us to create a new brand identity and re-design their website, with the brief to help them stand out in a very crowded and highly competitive marketplace. We know that the whole area of food and baking is popular with everyone who works for them and so we decided to use this to express the company culture or personality through the copy on their new website. They also have a very personal approach to the way they interact with their clients and as they are all about communication, we wanted this to come across strongly in their new brand.

My solution included creating a new logotype, and a symbol. I crafted a bespoke typeface that featured a speech bubble, hidden within the negative space of the ‘R’ of the name Revolution Events and a round symbol was constructed from a mixture of concentric circles. We actually designed about twenty of these, all in different colour-ways that related to the mix of personalities within their team, each person now has their own unique logo and colour scheme. We commissioned a copywriter to write the copy in a quirky and unusual way to convey the actual personality of the company and to communicate the key differences between them and their competitors.

Photography

Working with our concept and creative brief, they commissioned a photographer to capture their team and their working environment. The result is a unique suite of images of the people who work for the company and their vitality helps to bring the website to life.
